The Fifty-first Dragoon Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.

History
When Ian Cameron declared himself Director-General of the Terran Hegemony, the Fifty-first Dragoons mutinied. On September 29th, 2549 they left their barracks and seized control of Geneva. This action (later known as the September Revolt) only lasted for ten days before forces loyal to the Director-General took control of the situation. The leaders of the mutiny, including members of the Fifty-first, were tried and sentenced. The unit as a whole, however, was spared destruction.[1][2]
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the XXI Corps, First Army, to the Terran Military Region and then transferred to District 1 of the Capellan Confederation Military Region by 2765, to take part in the New Vandenberg Uprising.[3] The 51st was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[3]
Composition
As an SLDF Dragoon regiment the 51st would have been composed primarily of heavy to assault 'Mechs, tanks and hovercraft.[4]
