The Sixth Jaguar Dragoons were a unit of Clan Smoke Jaguar's Alpha Galaxy.

History

Operation Revival

The Sixth Jaguar Dragoons took part in the initial invasion of the Inner Sphere. A Binary of Elementals under the command of Star Captain Lincoln Osis conquered the Draconian planet Byesville without much of a fight. The 6th Jaguar Dragoons also conquered Tarnby and Yamarovka. Lincoln Osis was later awarded the rank of Star Colonel and command of the Sixth Dragoons.

For the Battle of Tukayyid in 3050, Lincoln Osis received the honorary title Khan. (Clan Smoke Jaguar used this term regularly for inspiring leaders on the battlefield.) The 6th Jaguar Dragoons landed on Tukayyid with the rest of Alpha Galaxy. It easily cut through the ComGuard's Fiftieth Division. Later it faced growing resistance by various other ComGuard elements. Lincoln Osis was wounded during the fighting.
Losses for Clan Smoke Jaguar mounted and finally ilKhan Ulric Kerensky ordered the retreat of all Smoke Jaguar forces, to prevent unnecessary losses. The 6th Jaguar Dragoons and other units of Alpha Galaxy regarded this as a blow to their honor and kept on fighting. They were finally overwhelmed by the masses of ComGuard-Mechs.

After Tukayyid, Khan Lincoln Osis sought to rebuild his former unit and turned it into Clan Smoke Jaguars prestige-unit. The 168th Garrison Cluster was assigned as an aid-unit for the Sixth Dragoons.

In 3060 the Sixth Jaguar Dragoons were preparing for a campaign against the Draconis Combine, awaiting that Khan Lincoln Osis would soon declare a new invasion of the Inner sphere.

Operation Bulldog

During Operation Bulldog, the Sixth faced the Exile Wolves on Labrea. At this time, the Sixth consisted of three Mech-Trinaries, their weight ranging from medium to assault. Their commander was Star Colonel Logan Moon, a pragmatic man who was not as blindly aggressive as his fellow Clan warriors. Khan Phelan Kell declared a Trial of Possession for the 6th Jaguar Dragoons: Phelan Kell (Executioner A) fought Star Colonel Paul Moon Dire Wolf A) for Trinary Alpha. Star Colonel Ranna Kerensky (Warhawk C) fought against the Star Captain of Trinary Beta (Turkina B). Ragnar (Ice Ferret D) fought against the Star Captain of Trinary Gamma (Shadow Cat A). The Exile Wolves won in all three cases.

The 6th Jaguar Dragoons were taken isorla as a whole, but Phelan Kell declared them abtakha, before even leaving Labrea. The 6th Jaguar Dragoons were renamed to the 6th Wolf Guards and declared part of Clan Wolf-in-Exile's Alpha Galaxy. Their new coat-of-arms is a wolf with the head of a smoke jaguar.
