Assigned to the Castor Theater, 7 to 8 on the Inner Sphere Clock, the ComGuard 8th Army is located on the border of Lyran and Marik space, making it a prime target for Blakist terrorist attacks, being known as Stern Defense.

History
Situated along the Steiner-Marik border, the Eighth Army suffered badly in the FedCom Civil War with elements fighting alongside and against both the Allied and Loyalist forces, with the actions of 167th earning them expulsion from ComStar but winning the friendship of the 4th Crucis Lancers, who asorbed many of their survivors.[1]
