Description[edit]
The A Time of War: Quick-Start Rules (Free RPG Day 2012) is a 2012 free PDF product created by Catalyst Game Labs available on the CGL website. It is a set of quick rules to start playing A Time of War.
In this version of the quick-start rules, the scenario, Swift Plans, is set in 3073. On Ormstown, the pregenerated characters, LCAF veterans, defend the manor of a friend, Malcolm Brossard, from an attack by the rival Mair family. A Powerman LoaderMech is available to refit for intimidation and combat.

- A Time of War: Quick-Start Rules (Free RPG Day 2012) lacks an explicit table of contents. The list shown here was assembled primarily from page headings.
- Two other versions of the A Time of War: Quick-Start Rules have been released as PDFs: the original and a version for Free RPG Day 2013. These differ in the pregenerated characters and scenarios included. 2014 and 2015 versions also exist in print.
