The Ancha system is the location of an inhabited world, Ancha I, and as at 3145 was located in the Al Na'ir Prefecture of the Dieron Military District within the Draconis Combine.[2][3]

They immediately engaged the defending Shin Legion, distracting the unit long enough for the Sixth FedCom RCT to engage the Legion from the rear and flanks. A desperate assault by Legion conventional assets allowed some of the Legion 'Mechs to escape but they were unable to mount effective resistance. They would engage in resistance efforts for the next six months.[5] The Eighteenth Dieron Regulars arrived shortly thereafter, and after inflicting (and suffering) heavy losses, the Federated Commonwealth units withdrew from Ancha.[6]
