History
The FWLS Avellino was a League-class Destroyer which was commissioned during the Star League Era and it served with the Free Worlds League Navy.
First Succession War
The ship only noted exploits when she was assigned as part of flotilla of WarShips assigned to carry out a reprisal raid against the Capellan Confederation in August 2788. Assigned with her sister ship, the Andria, the two acted as screen elements for the Battleships Kanata, Majestic, and the flotilla's two highly modified Carrack-Class Transports which were acting as Aerospace Carriers. The Avellino entered orbit over New Canton and carried out an orbital bombardment which decimated cities on the Capellan world.[1]
Like all WarShips of the Succession War Era, the Andria was lost and assumed destroyed during decades-long conflicts.
