Description
The Inner Sphere Fire Lance is a collection of four plastic miniatures for use in the classic BattleTech tabletop and Alpha Strike games. The box also provides four dry-erase cards, which are intended to directly support Alpha Strike gameplay, and four new Clan Pilot Cards.
Originally described as the "Fire Support Lance", the Inner Sphere Fire Lance was created as a part of the Clan Invasion Kickstarter 2019, as a stretch goal available at $600,000 USD. During the Kickstarter campaign, Catalyst Game Labs conducted a consultation process with campaign backers on the contents of the various star and lance packs that had been advertised. As a part of this consultation, the Fire Support Lance Pack was renamed the Fire Lance Pack, and the contents were amended. When originally launched as the Fire Support Lance Pack, this pack was going to contain a Bombardier, Longbow, Trebuchet and Whitworth. When relisted as the Fire Lance Pack, the Bombardier and Whitworth 'Mechs had been replaced with a Stalker and a Zeus.
Those Inner Sphere Fire Lance packs selected as backer rewards were each accompanied by a single free Salvage Box as a part of the same reward. The Inner Sphere Fire Lance was also available as an add-on option, costing $20 USD per pack, but those packs purchased as add-ons did not come with a free Salvage Box.
