History
Jihad Era
Throughout the Blakist occupation of Tharkad, EISENJÄGER evaded Blakist patrols, scavenging and surviving while occasionally attacking vulnerable targets.[1] Like much of the Lyran resistance, the unit was delivered supplies via Sturmvogels.[2]
On 13 January 3071, the unit ambushed a particularly important target: Precentor Roman McKinnsey, the Marauder of Mako Valley and the commander of the occupying 37th Division. Part of a full assault lance, McKinnsey was a difficult target. EISENJÄGER's Rolf Solomon landed a killing blow on McKinnsey's cockpit, but the ambush came at a cost. By the time McKinnsey died, only three vehicles remained from the entire company, and only a moment later, Rolf's tank, commanded by the unit's CO Stella Heigl, was destroyed, killing both.[1]

Tactics
EISENJÄGER took advantage of the terrain of occupied Tharkad, both for shelter and for ambushes. For its final attack, the unit hid under heavy snow and limited engine activity, minimizing the chance of detection by sight or heat.[1]
