The Gauss Rifle utilizes electromagnets to propel an excessively damaging slug to long distances, making it a devastating and lethal weapon. Unlike traditional ballistic weapons, the Gauss Rifle lacks any combusting propellant or other material, making the heat output almost unnoticeable. However, it's effectiveness is limited by the heaviness of both the rifle and it's ammunition, as well as the possibility that Gauss Rifles will explode upon suffering a critical hit.
