Description
The Hellion is the direct result of Clan Ice Hellion's philosophy of swift warfare. Using a heavier version of the Mist Lynx chassis, the Ice Hellions have created an effective blend of speed, armor and firepower. A fast and capable fighter, the Hellion can enter a battlefield, approach and strike a target before being touched. The Hellion was designed to balance speed and firepower on the battlefield. Though slower than heavier models such as the Ice Ferret and Viper, it supports more pod space than either of them. The 'Mech can also outpace lighter models that can mough a large weapons array, especially when its myomer acceleration signal circuitry (MASC) is engaged. With both long- and short-range punch, the primary configuration can hold its own on any ground.
Armament
The Hellion sports no fixed weapons on it's chassis. The primary configuration consists of four ER Medium Lasers as well as a trio of streak SRM-2's which make it a potent headhunter 'Mech. It also packs a LRM-10 to harass enemies at range.
Variants
- Alt. Config. A - A mobile harassment configuration, the Hellion A has a trio of LRM-10 launchers alowing it to harass an enemy from long range. For close combat, the 'Mech has a single ER Medium Laser. BV (1.0) = 1,290
- Alt. Config. B - A dangerous heavy laser configuration, the Hellion B has a Heavy Large Laser, four Heavy Medium Lasers, and a Heavy Small Laser. Added to all this laser power are three additional Double Heat Sinks. Even with the extra Heat Sinks the Hellion B will not last long firing all of it weapons. BV (1.0) = 1,043
- Alt. Config. C - A heat efficient headhunter configuration, the Hellion C has a ATM 6 launcher, as well as 4 ER Medium Lasers all integrated into a targeting computer for increased accuracy. BV (1.0) = 1,547
