Planetary History

Star League

During the final years of the Star League, Isesaki was the headquarters world of the XXXV Corps (Star League) of the Star League Defense Force.[40] Part of the duties of this Corps was to defend the corporate headquarters of Isesaki Shipping. Isesaki Shipping had direct trade deals with the Terran Hegemony and was an independent contractor to the SLDF for the transportation of military supplies. Warehouses across Isesaki were packed with food, supplies, munitions and weapons, including BattleMechs, for distribution to SLDF divisions.[41]

Jihad

Isesaki was raided by Word of Blake forces in late March 3075; the infamous Opacus Venatori targeted the Isesaki Shipping headquarters in the commercial district of Ukonosi City specifically, levelling a wide swath of the district and the headquarters building. Viscount Ernest Machida was killed in the attack.[42][43] The Blakist force was finally defeated by local militia forces led by Tai-sho Chris Moran who mobilized additional militia forces to reinforce those already fighting and led a counterattack against the Blakist spearhead in the commercial district on the east side of the Black River. The Isesaki Shipping headquarters was destroyed when the retreating Blakist forces activated self-destruct devices in their fallen BattleMechs, with the estimated civilian death toll reaching almost six and a half thousand as a result. Initial investigations indicated that the Blakist raiders had used captured Isesaki Shipping vessels to infiltrate onto the world.[44]

In May 3081 Coordinator Hohiro Kurita's son Vincent Kurita and his wife Ramiko honeymooned on Isesaki after their wedding on Kirei Na Niwa.[45]

Dark Age

The HPG of Isesaki fell victim of a devastating fuel-air bomb that wiped out the station and the surrounding neighborhood during Gray Monday.[46]
