Lone Star Regiment

History

Formed in 2825 from former SLDF and Rim Worlds military personal on Somerset, as well as surviving units from the Lyran attack of the DCMS. After 200 years of service the Lone Star Regiment leaves the Draconis Combine in response to the Coordinator's "Death to Mercenaries" statement. For the next 20 years they clashed with the raiders from the CCAF under employ of the Federated Suns. Starting in 3050, the Lone Star Regiment was employed by the TDF. During this period of activity they battled the Redfield's Renegades. While the unit sustained significant losses as a result of this conflict; they also gained control of an additional dropship.

In 3067 distrust in the existing commanding officer results in their replacement by the son of a previous unit commander. Under employ of the Word of Blake the Lone Star Regiment support operations on Epsilon Eridani. Fresh with equipment upgrades and other assets from their contract with the Word of Blake; the assisted the Taurians in their attempt to regain control of the Pleiades Cluster.

Officer

Colonel Meschach Granger take is family legacy after service with the AFFC (Robinson Rangers).

This unit is an expert in defensive engagements.

The unit can count on an Invader-class JumpShip + 4 DropShips (3 Overlord-class + 1 Colossus-class). Most repairs can done by the techs.
