History

The McKenna's Honor - was a Lion-class DropShip on Strana Mechty, which was stolen and destroyed in 3076 by the members of Operation Spatha II, part of the Wolf Operation DAMOCLES II.

Operational History

The Honor was the supply ship of the WarShip McKenna's Pride. On 5 April 3076, it was being loaded in the DropPort of Katyusha City when its crew was captured by a group of Dark Caste warriors. Their leader, who declared himself to be Wulfgar, a member of the annihilated Clan Steel Viper, and his men imprisoned every crew member in a bunker, and soon a new crew manned the Honor, which took off.

The truth, however, was very different: Wulfgar was, in reality, Garmen Kerensky, an [Elemental]] of Clan Wolf. He had been tasked five years earlier by Khan Vlad Ward to lead Operation Spatha, a secret operation to board the McKenna's Pride and steal Aleksandr Kerensky's body. However, his mission failed when his first DropShip, the Botany Bay, was destroyed by an aerospace attack.[1]

Allied with Satinka, the Winter Lady, an important Dark Caste leader, Garmen's men have been preparing their next attempt, Spatha II, for five years.

That same day, the Honor successfully docked with the Pride, and Garmen's men boarded it. Using the Blanket, a jamming device, they took all key points of the ship without raising any alarm.[2]

Destruction

However, Spatha II also began having problems: the boarders' assault was discovered, and Aleksandr's body was too difficult to retrieve. For this, Garmen was forced to changes his plans, and decided to steal the Pride, too. For hours, they were followed and attacked by several WarShips, assault DropShips, and Aerospace Fighters. One of the WarShips, the Absolute Truth was fast approaching the Pride when, unexpectedly, the Honor detached.[3] The Honor, piloted by either some valiant crew members or remote control, did a suicide run against the Truth. The unnamed heroes achieved success — the WarShip's fire could not stop the suicide DropShip, which rammed it, smashing into the Truth's bow.[4] The DropShip's sacrifice was a success — the Absolute Truth was heavily damaged and could not continue the pursuit, and the Pride managed to escape. Spatha II was a total success, and the Home Clans remained ignorant of who was responsible for it.[5]

Notes

  • The Honor's name may suggest that the DropShip was the Pride's regular supply ship.
