History
When not engaged in the Fourth Succession War the New Hessen Armored Scouts exit. After the war the unit defended their homeworld and surrounding system against the Capellan Confederation raid and pirate groups in a contract for the Federated Commonwealth. And this for the next 20 years. They refused to fight the Clans and continue to protect their homeworld. Through veterans of the Clan front the ranks grows up to five battalions and the unit were divided in two regiments.
During the Jihad, the unit took part in the long trip from Galatea to New Hessen. Along the way they served as replacement troops for the 1st New Hessen Irregulars and 2nd New Hessen Irregulars and as a supporting unit for those commands. During an assault on New Canton, the Hessens had to leave a battalion behind; Many of these troops came from the Armored Scouts.
