Plot summary
As Tortuga Dominion pirates with 'Mech support raid the city of Sawyer on Charleston, Corporal David Talbot and his infantry maniple experience their first combat action. In the chaotic urban fighting they are eventually confronted by a Phoenix Hawk, but since its cockpit is already damaged Talbot can shoot the pilot from an elevated position.
