Description

Standard Jump Jets

Pitban standard jump jet designs have been produced in a number of variants. The best known versions are listed below.

Pitban 6000

Produced from 2675 to 2837 for the Urbanmech, the Pitban 6000 is a simple design that was produced in large numbers until the factory on Marcus was destroyed in the Second Succession War.

Pitban LFT-10

The LFT-10 series was unveiled in 2650 at part of the SDR-5V Spider program. A notable design, providing top of the line maneuvering ability while still being easy to install. The LFT-10 pack in the Spider has the ability to pivot in midair while maintaining sufficient control to maintain the Mech's intended course. This marked agility can make the Spider a difficult target to engage.

Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of the design is that the system is essentially unremarkable. In almost seven centuries of production there is a lack of commentary describing the system as particularly good in any respect nor are there reports of significant flaws in the design.
