Pomme de Terre was one of four Draconis Combine systems to be raided by the Tamar Tigers in 2790, as part of a wave of raids arranged by General Paul Steiner to support Archon Jennifer Steiner's goal of a more offensive stance against the Free Worlds League and Draconis Combine, while also supporting General Amanda Lestrade as she attempted to protect the heavily industrialized worlds of the Federation of Skye.[45]
By 3025, Pomme De Terre was considered the most productive agricultural world within the Draconis Combine that shipped products across the Inner Sphere. The value of this world was high due to the fact that many Combine worlds could not provide enough food for themselves.[46]
Clan Invasion
During Operation REVIVAL, Pomme De Terre was targeted during the fourth wave of attacks by Clan Ghost Bear. With only a small planetary military to protect themselves, the situation looked hopeless when Ghost Bear forces arrived in September 3050. Several prominent politicians, based on reports of high civilian casualties in previous fights with the Clans and the Ghost Bear's reputation for treating conquered populaces equitably, appealed to the planet's ruling council to surrender. Several days of debate ensued until an agreement to capitulate unconditionally was reach just minutes before Star Colonel Huntsig of the 139th Striker Cluster planned to broadcast his batchall. The planet secured, only a small garrison was left on Pomme De Terre as the Ghost Bear juggernaut continued forward[47]
