Description
A Solaris VII BattleMech, the Ronin was introduced by Solaris Arms in the mid-3050's as the SA-RN Ronin. As their entry in the medium range weight class arenas. The original Ronin was based on a Centurion chassis.[4] By using an existing chassis rather than building a custom one, Solaris Arms was able to reduce development time and costs. This design philosophy, pioneered with the Ronin, remains in place today. The 'Mech features balanced speed, armor, and weaponry, making it very popular with the Solaris stables, but it is a rare sight on any other world.[5]
Armament
The Ronin's main armament is the Sutel Precision Line Large Pulse Laser and a pair of Luxor 3R LRM-10 launchers. These are backed up by a single Diverse Optics ER Small Laser, a Claw, and two Solaris Arms "Pepperspray" M-Pods.
