Description
The Tian-zong is a post-Jihad design that the Capellan Confederation first developed in 3090. With heavy armor, good maneuverability, and strong fire-power, backed up with Stealth capability, the Tiang-zong is a premire "Recon in Force" 'Mech. The design has proved quite popular with many elite Capellan forces such as Warrior House Hiritsu and the Death Commandos.
Armament
The 'Mech armed with pair of Mydron Concussor Gauss Rifles as its main weaponry.
As Close up weaponry, the 'Mech is also armed with pair of Extended Range Ceres Arms Medium Lasers.
Variants
A variant of the Tian-zong replaces the standard weapons layout with two Ceres Arms ER Large Lasers and two Mydron Slugger Light Gauss Rifles. This gives it a greater reach at the risk of running hotter during combat.
Notes
Tian-Zong was introduced by WizKids as part of their MechWarrior: Dark Age line of collectible miniatures. It first appeared in their game set release called Liao Incursion. In novel Fortress of Lies, the 'Mech were first seen in action in canon fiction. However, the 'mech was firing its gauss rifles from its arms, which may conflict with the original figure's physical appearance.
