Welcome[edit]
Source?[edit]
Hi, Jherbert2. What is your source for SturmFeur(update)?--Revanche (talk|contribs) 14:35, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
- Definitely 3039. I'm struggling with how to keep the entry cannon without copyright infringement. Help appreciated! Jherbert2 03:09, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- I'd be glad to help, but may I offer two possible paths first?
- When I'm free-form editing, adding stuff to a pre-existing article, I locate the 'duplicate' facts in my source and remove them from the equation, other than to cite them with my source. Then I add each factoid that is not previously addressed and add them where appropriate, according to the tone the previous Editors had already set.
- However, when I am crafting up a new article and I decide it warrants considerable effort on my part, I will write the facts of the original source material on a piece of paper, using incomplete sentences, really just raw facts ("easy to maintain", "primary weapon jams often", "was the initial product off the line". This is where I attempt to re-state what was presented in the source in a completely different but raw form. Once I have the facts written down, I close the source and work off the paper. Now, unlike an article that is generally free-form (such as the one I wrote for the Unfinished Book Movement), you have the advantage in working in an established form (in this case, a combat vehicle template). For the SturmFeur article, you'd be using the one provided in the Combat Vehicle Quick Start page. That one breaks things up into several sections: infobox (already there), Description (compare to the Goblin), Armament (focuses on the weaponry, only), Variants (where you'll mention the upgrade; see also the Goblin article for an example) and then your References & Bibliography sections (which I'll clean up for you). Add a category (in this case, already done) and now you've given something for other Editors to assist in.
- Does this help? --Revanche (talk|contribs) 03:27, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

Exodus-Road.com[edit]
Hey, really glad to hear you are you. I was in Japan years ago, lamenting on how hard it was to get CBT material thru Amazon (depended on that store when I was over there) and thought about the feasibility of opening my own dedicated CBT online store. Then, when back in the US, while researching the idea, came across your store and bought some items from you (thereby removing the 'need' to open one of my own). Glad to hear you're so involved in the community. Curious (and don't answer if its not an appropriate question): how have you done following BattleCorps' opening? I'm curious as to whether you're ahead or not, since you don't have all the same reqs of a brick-n-mortar.--Revanche (talk|contribs) 19:02, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
- We seem to be doing well. We appear to be on track to do as well or better than last year. We are doing our best to get the newest stuff in as it becomes available. I'm also trying to do daily updates to the front page. I seem to be having difficulty with that. I want to have something to say before I write. Generally not the average blog content.
- Now if I can just remember this tilde thing Jherbert2 03:10, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
