Early History

By 2305, Wernke was considered to be a client state of the Capellan Hegemony, but in a sign of events to come the Capellan interests on Wernke were already being contested diplomatically by various mercantile interests backed by the Davion family. This highlighted the biggest internal problem suffered by the Capellan Hegemony - just how far-flung the borders of the Hegemony were, outside of the Hegemony core systems.[3]

The Kallon Industries plant was a large scale producer of BattleMechs for the AFFS, and was targeted specifically by the Word of Blake during the Jihad; the Blakists completely destroyed the plant in 3069.[6]
