Emil Baskeville was the Ghost Paladin of the Republic.
History[edit]
The 31 November 3150, after a meeting between Stone, Tucker Harwell and Countess Tara Campbell, in which the later tell the other two than her Highlanders were to depart to Northwind to protect it from a Capellan invasion, Emil, which had been seeing it, after being called by Stone, entered the Exarch's private chamber, saying him than he had handled the Highlanders' situation as best as possible. Emil also informed than their contingency plan to that situation -to send reinforcements to Northwind to help defend it- was ready.[1]
A secret record showed Emil in a secret meeting with the Paladin Andrea Stirling, in which he convinced her to made a covenant which allowed the Northwind Highlanders to join the Republic, soon after its foundation, but also to keep secret a great number of BattleMechs, which later they used to create the Grey Watch. The message was sent after the fall of the Republic to Northwind, along with the message consider your covenant upheld. It is implied than the message was sent by Emil itself, which may suggest than he had survived the fall of Terra.[2]
