Description[edit]
Based on vehicular flamers, the Heavy Flamer does more damage at a greater range than a standard Flamer. Lacking a fusion engine from which to draw plasma means a reservoir of combustible fuel must be carried to achieve the same effect. The Heavy Flamer is larger and heavier than the standard Flamer, but inflicts twice the heat and damage effects of a standard Flamer to non-infantry units. Conventional infantry units are in even worse shape when attacked by the BA-grade Heavy Flamer: It inflicts 4D6 points of damage to conventional infantry platoons. [1]
