The House Rose was a martial and technician family of the Northwind Highlanders.

Origins[edit]
House Rose was from Northwind, joining the Northwind Highlanders. They were part of the Highlanders, part as technicans, and some traditionally as MechWarriors, during the Succession Wars. Marie Rose was killed during the War of 3039, and his son Jeremiah left the Highlanders, joining the ComGuards.[1]
The Roses rose to some prominence during the Clan Invasion Era, as Daniel was killed by The Clans, and his brothers Jeremiah and Rianna became mercenaries, founding the Black Thorns, a small mercenary unit specialized in fighting the Clans. However, the unit didn't survive to the Word of Blake Jihad, perishing on Galedon V.[2] Loren Jaffray honored the Thorns using the Rose tartan for his anti-Clan unit, the Northwind Hussars.[3]
Tartan[edit]
The Rose hunting tartan had a blue background overlaid primarily with green, secondarily with red.[4]
