Lavender Kline was the commanding officer of the Twenty-first Vanguard Battle Cluster of Clan Fire Mandrill as of 3050.[2]

Star Colonel Lavender Kline served with the Twenty-first Vanguard Battle Cluster on Foster during the Hellion's Fury attacks following the commencement of Operation REVIVAL.[2] When Kindraa Kline's planetary holdings were declared the target of a Clan Ice Hellion Trial of Possession, Lavender Kline's Twenty-first Vanguard met the Seventy-eighth Hellion Lancers in combat on 26 May 3050. This first battle, fought in the swamps of The Cauldron, went poorly for the Klines and Star Colonel Kline herself was killed when the Hellion commander Grace Lienet punched a Gauss rifle slug through her cockpit. [1] Enraged at the death of their commander, the Twenty-first Vanguard would win the second Trial of Possession called for their territory and forced the Seventy-eighth Lancers to cease their attacks, although their initial defeat caused them to be redeployed to Dagda. Simultaneous attacks on other Clan Fire Mandrill Kindraa nearly lead to a combined, Clan-wide counterattack against the Ice Hellions but the Mandrill's infamous factionalism buried the idea and allowed the Hellions to retain their conquered possessions.[1]
