Leo "El Pipiribau" Archuleta was an officer in the Seventeenth Recon Regiment, also known as Camacho's Caballeros.[1]
History[edit]
Archuleta was a MechWarrior within Adelante company of the Caballeros in 3056 and piloted a Locust light 'Mech. Archuleta was well known for decorating the surface of his 'Mech with plastic toys and other items.[2] The decorations were always an eclectic range of items including party decorations, thimbles, toys, painted plates, and other bright and colorful items in a fashion dating back to the Tijuana Taxi-style of ancient Terra. Whenever the decorations were destroyed in battle, Leo would begin replacing them immediately afterwards, giving his 'Mech a vaguely fuzzy appearance. Leo's 'Mech matched his happy-go-lucky nature.[3]
On 12 December 3057, Archuleta was on guard duty outside the Turanian Transport Company Complex in Port Howard, the capital city of Towne when an agent named "Wolf Girl," a highly-skilled operative of Townian noble Howard Blaylock, managed to use an angry crowd of protestors as cover for a daring attack on Archuleta's 'Mech with an SRM launcher from the back of a motorbike. Archuleta's Locust had been modified at the time by Master Sergeant Richard "Zuma" Gallegos, the Caballero's Chief Astech, and mounted a water cannon in place of the medium laser in anticipation of having to control crowds. The SRM missiles shattered the Locust's right hip actuator, causing it to topple, stunning Archuleta.[3]
