Lishi was a female solahma warrior killed in battle as the last ProtoMech pilot of her Clan.

History

Lishi was a female trueborn aerospace pilot of Clan Ice Hellion. At some time she became ProtoMech pilot, participated in Operation ICE STORM under the command of Khan Raina Montose, and became one of the few survivors of that group. After the absorption of the Hellions by Clan Goliath Scorpion, she became one of their warriors and reached the rank of Star Captain. Unfortunately, she had to participate in hunts against former Hellions. With the orders directing her to kill those who resisted or capture them them as bondsmen, she had intense conflicting feelings about her actions. Later, in a battle against Hanseatic League forces, her full Star was destroyed, and she barely survived. She lost her ProtoMech, but was taken bondsmen by the Seekers Nearchos, another former Ice Hellion. He gave her another ProtoMech and keep her active as a yeoman of the Seekers. In a mission against the Clan Diamond Shark on Wark, her ProtoMech was damaged.

The 14 March 3099, on the planet Galicia, she observed a pack of Ice Hellions hunting, when she saw a DropShip landing. Onboard was Nearchos, who sadly informed her than he hadn't managed to find spare parts for her Delphyne. Still worse, she was, by then, the last ProtoMech pilot of the Imperio, and without any prospective future. As a result, he had to inform her about her imminent transfer to a solahma Cluster.

The 3 July, she was already on her destination, Trinary Sigma Two, on garrison post Iota, in the planet Graystone. After a meeting, her commanding officer, Star Colonel Rossiton talked her in private. He was too an old Ice Hellion, and tells her how much he regretted his survival and the imminent extinction of their former Clan's culture. She pointed than both will be dead before that happens, and the Star Colonel calls her optimistic.

The 22 October, Lishi was working in the colony's construction along with a driver named Ansel, when they received a warning that Post Iota was under attack. All the solahma raced to the base while looking forward to the opportunity to fight one last time. On Iota, they found the attackers were a group of second-line 'mechs from the Hanseatic League' Regional Defense Force 5. The only defending Scorpion was Rossiton's 'Mech. He kept the attackers busy as the solahma armed themselves. Lishi raced into her ProtoMech, which luckily she had been allowed to take with her, boarded it, and joined the fight. Rossiton fell soon after, and she used the surprise effect of her unexpected entry to its fullest. First she downed a damaged Wasp and made it explode. While her Delphyne was damaged, she didn't stop. She proceeded to down a Stinger and a second Wasp. She jumped over a Wolverine, and blasted it from its back. But then she received a hit and fell. Her attacker, a Hunchback, approached her downed ProtoMech. The pilot addressed her over the comm that he didn't know what she was, but that soon it won't matter once she's slain. She answered to him that she was of a dying breed as is he. As he opens fire, she pulls the trigger one last time. Lishi died, but it is implied than she killed the Hansa warrior in exchange.

Legacy

Lishi was the Empire's last ProtoMech pilot; there were no more trained after her. As she died heroically defending Graystone, she was honored with memorial statues in the Empire’s capital and other planets.

BattleMech/Vehicle

Lishi's original ProtoMech was a Minotaur. After losing it, she was given to a Delphyne which she kept until her death.
