The Mongols were supporters of the Mongol Doctrine within Clan Jade Falcon. Under the leadership of Jade Falcon Khan Malvina Hazen. They would reign supreme throughout the Dark Age Era.

Description[edit]
The Mongols are a group of members within Clan Jade Falcon who espouse the belief that the Inner Sphere should be ruled through fear and submission instead of the honorable Crusader philosophy. This philosophy did not take effect until Malvina initiated the Jade Falcon Civil War after killing Falcon Khan Jana Pryde. After defeating Clan Hell's Horses for possession of the Mongol Doctrine, Malvina would interpret it to strike fear, modelled after Genghis Khan's Mongols of ancient Terra. These members support the brutal ways of Khan Malvina Hazen's Mongol Doctrine, believing that it gives them quick victories by any means necessary. They are opposed by the traditionalists who see their lack of honor as an insult not only to their clan, but the Clan Way as a whole. Under Malvina's reign, the Mongols would remain dominant within Clan Jade Falcon, until her death following the ilClan Era. Additionally, while the traditional Jade Falcon attitude towards civilians was merciless against any dissent but respectful of their contributions to the Clan with an above-average standard of living, the Mongols outright see them as barely useful vermin with Malvina callously dismissing them as "belly crawlers" only fit for conscripted manual labor at best or outright neglectful abandonment to starvation at worst.[citation needed]

ilClan Trial[edit]
The brutal ways of the Mongols would eventually pay off for Malvina and her supporters. After dissolving the Republic of the Sphere, Wolf Khan Alaric Ward offered a trial that the Jade Falcons could not refuse: The ilClan Trial. This would not only allow the victor to claim Terra as the ilClan, but the Khan would carry the titles of ilKhan and First Lord of the Star League. The Malvina and her Falcons accepted the challenge, utilizing the tactics that brought them to Terra. The Mongol's devotion and suicidal charges dwindled their numbers and cost them their chance at claiming the ilClan Trial. As a result the Jade Falcon Touman ended up nearly destroyed as the Falcon warriors took months to recover.[citation needed]
Downfall[edit]
During the aftermath of the ilClan Trial, Clan Jade Falcon would be weakened by their battle with the Wolves after a majority of Mongols were decimated on Terra. They would suffer another blow after Khan Malvina died and Stephanie Chistu succeeded her. Although an attempt was made to replace Stephanie with a Mongol supporter, it was thwarted by her victory. The Mongols still remain in Clan Jade Falcon, but with a weakened powerbase.[citation needed]
As of the 3150's, it is unknown how many Mongols are in the clan.[1] However, with the conclusion of the IlClan Trial, the Traditionalists regained primacy due to the Mongols decimating themselves with suicidal charges against the Wolves and with the election of Stephanie Chistu as Khan.[citation needed]
