Lieutenant Sheila Selden was a member of the Command Lance, Command Company, Alpha Regiment of Wolf's Dragoons as of 3028.[1]

Selden, as a Land-Air 'Mech pilot, acted as a messenger and scout for Jaime Wolf's personal Command Lance (Wolf's Guard).
During the Battle of Misery, on 29 April 3028, Selden was with Wolf in the Hamar Valley as he moved from Able Battalion's position to Charlie's position near Farsund. During this movement fellow LAM pilot Major Stanford Blake, while airborne in his Phoenix Hawk LAM spotted a company of Ryuken to the left of Wolf's march line and was shot down.
As Wolf's lance headed towards the downed Blake, Selden took off in her LAM to get a better look from the air, but as she crossed a slight rise was cut down by heavy laser and PPC fire. The command lance was able to drive off the Combine 'Mechs and recover Blake, but Selden had died in her crash.[2]
