Ellis "Blockade" Simonsen was born and raised on an space station orbiting Coromodir V, the only child of a team of engineers. He had a weird childhood, but nevertheless managed to develop a normal personality.
He went to a military academy on Coromodir VI and after additional schooling joined the Royal Guard. He was quickly promoted to lieutenant in 3022 a new commanding officer though; he would blindly obey illegal orders. He incapacitated his commanding officer and joined the defense of House Arano until he saw it was a lost cause. After ensuring his command escaped off-world, he started working as a mercenary, monitoring the Aurigan Coalition situation just in case a situation arose that allowed him to honor his oaths to House Arano.
