The Fjaldr system was the location of a Capellan Confederation colony world, and as of 2750 was located in the Sian Commonality of the Confederation.[1] Lost to, or abandoned by, the Confederation in the Succession Wars (though apparently not entirely depopulated) and in what was now considered the Periphery, it was said to be a well-connected hub near the Inner Sphere as of ca. 3025.[2]

System Description
The Fjaldr system is located near the Hurik and Ryans Fate systems.[1]
System History
The Fjaldr system was colonised at some point during the Star League era after the end of the Reunification War.[3][1] It was noted that the original Capellan colony was lost over the course of the Succession Wars.[2] After the Confederation gradually abandoned its poorly developed periphery holdings in the region, a new periphery nation–the Aurigan Coalition–formed in 2910 from a pre-existing (if tenuous) trade network.[4] Fjaldr last appeared on a 3022 map that showed it to be part of the Aurigan Coalition,[5] a weak political entity itself teetering on the brink of collapse at the time;[6] the Fjaldr system vanished from maps afterwards, [7][8] indicating that the system had been abandoned or depopulated, or otherwise was considered too insignificant or too thinly settled to warrant mention anymore.

Planet Description
Fjaldr is a barren planet enveloped by ice and constantly swept by winds and snowfall. Kilometer-wide crevasses in the ice mantle held the initial Capellan colony, which was primarily built underground. Rich mineral resourced, comined with being considered a hub world, ensured Fjaldr's survival even when the colony as such failed, or at least was abandoned by the Confederation.[2]
According to the apocryphal BattleTech (video game) Fjaldr, as of the early 31st century, has only a token population running mining operations. A pirate band occupied the Fjaldr system in 3019, but was eliminated during a three-month campaign by a combined force of the Arano Royal Guard and the Markham's Marauders mercenary unit.[34]
