Overview
Gripper Gloves are electronically enhanced gloves with an inbuild power supply. They were developed by laboratories of lyran company BabTech on Clinton.
They utilize myomer bundling to incredibly strengthen its wearer's gripping power. Furthermore they can generate hyper-sonic fields at its fingertips which allows to firmly attach them to virtually any surface. The gripping power generated is high enough to crush solid objects like small rocks. When attached, the hyper-sonic fields can hold up to 150kg per glove. They are nearly 1cm thick and come with unusual prolonged gauntlets to cover the wearer's forearms. They weigh around 1kg and are rather bulky
Gripper Gloves require firm training, because of their bulky nature they reduce the wearer's dexterity. Nonetheless real experts can use them sensitively, catching a bottle without breaking it as well as forcing open a firmly shut door. In military context they are mainly used by Star League Special Forces, i.e. in urban combat. They became as well popular with thieves, who use them to scale sheer surfaces.[1]
