Dear fellow mechwarrior! Please register an account and check the BattleMech discussion page when proposing significant changes to the page layout. Clarity and succinctness for all international players is the priority. I don't believe the engine heatsink is necessary to add because unlike the other special items, you can still install heat sinks even without the engine slot.— The preceding unsigned comment was posted by Csdavis715 (talkcontribs) .

This is not your own personal website. Small corrections/additions are fine so long as they are consistent with the current layout. But if you want to propose bigger changes, create an account and contribute to the MW5:BattleMech Discussion page first. -csdavis715 03:02, 9 December 2021 (EDT)
Hey, local friendly Admin here, COOL IT! I don't want this turning into an edit war. Csdavis715 you have been doing very good work on the MW5 'Mech article but your own words apply to you as well, nobody owns an article. 174.28.76.219 if this erupts into an edit war as an unregistered IP you are automatically on the losing side against a registered user who has proven work. But we are a community wiki so create an account as CS has asked and lets talk and hash out a compromise.--Dmon (talk) 04:55, 9 December 2021 (EST)
Roger, thanks Dmon. Will heed your advice. -csdavis715 (p.s. I'm still having trouble signing my name. It's probably really simple and I'm just blind.)

Hello... I am new to wiki contributions. There were no guidelines I could find about making contributions. I was confused when my work didn't stay up. So. The page is missing a lot of information. A lot of useful information that can help players make informed decisions about keeping a particular design or not. Otherwise it has to be done with trial and error. For example, the size of the weapon slots, or how much tonnage there is available, after you max the armor. My changes to the page would fill in those gaps. Also, I would argue that knowing if there are extra engine heatsinks are vital to some builds, because those are free slots for Double Heatsinks, that don't have to take up normal crit slots. If this information isn't to be added, the page should just be a list of variants available. I am not new to coding, but this is my first time adding to a wiki... I meant no disrespect, I just want to complete the information. If my changes are still saved somewhere, can they be put back up? Also, can we have an obvious link to edit guidelines?

Edit: one more idea, need four "best in slot" polls for each weight class, one for speed, one for firepower, one for Electronic Warfare, and one for Jump Jets.
