Planetary Info

Alchiba is a world with an extreme axial tilt. This means that the southern part of the world is covered with arid badlands suitable for industrial uses of all kinds, and the north is a temperate zone well-suited to agriculture. During the Star League Alchiba was jointly administered by the Terran Hegemony and Lyran Commonwealth. The lack of any military industry or presence meant that Alchiba wasn't a target of the Rim Worlds Republic forces that invaded the Terran Hegemony. After the fall of the Star League, the Lyran Commonwealth took complete control of the world. Despite its industrial possibilities, Alchiba has suffered only a few raids during the Succession Wars, and it was almost completely ignored by the Jihad.[1]

Planetary History

Jihad

However, while Alchiba was largely ignored by the Jihad itself, it was swept up into the border war between the Lyran Alliance and Free Worlds League. Following the invasion of the Free Worlds League by the Skye and Bolan Provinces of the Lyran Alliance in what was termed Operation ÜBERSCHATTEN, Marshall Jeremy Brett took command of the local FWLM and launched a counteroffensive, under the name Operation BROKEN FIST. BROKEN FIST went beyond simply attempting to recapture worlds that the Lyrans had seized, striking into Lyran space at numerous worlds. Alchiba was one of the worlds hit and was captured by the League on the 1st of September 3068.[30]
