Atreus City is the capital of the Free Worlds League and it is located on the Ionis continent.
It has been the seat of the Free Worlds League's government since it's inception. The city was quite cosmopolitan, where various League nobility met and sought entertainment. Due to its reputation, the city became known as the City of Dreams, and was a popular vacation destination prior to the events of the Jihad. Atreus City's land mass sprawled across a dozen hills, the architecture of its buildings spanning a score of traditions from neo-classical to minimalist.[1]
Atreus City was one of the few cities on Atreus which weren't planned. When it was decided to make the city the site of League's capital it had sprawling hillside neighborhoods, making the city more attractive than the more austere cities of the time found on Marik, Ortiente and Regulus. As of 3025, Atreus City was one of the last Successor State capitals that still stood intact. [2] The city suffered under a biological attack inflicted in 3068.[3]
