BattleTechWiki:New user log

Revision as of 10:27, 13 February 2007 by Dmon (talk | contribs) (→‎Dmon)

Hi, and welcome to BattleTechWiki! If you're new to our community, drop us a note here and tell us a little bit about yourself. Most important, we would like to know about your interests, your areas of knowledge, and the sorts of things you'd like to work on here at BattleTechWiki. That makes it easier for us to help you start editing. We'd also appreciate it if you told us how you found out about BattleTechWiki.

To add yourself to the list:
  • Scroll down to right under New User Posts (top of the list),
  • type two equal signs (==), type your screen name and then two equal signs again (this makes your name the subject/headline),
  • post a comment, and
  • sign your name at the end of your comment by typing four tildes: ~~~~. (This code makes a link to your user page, which readers can use to welcome you personally if they like).
Your comments will then be added to the bottom of the list.

Again, welcome to BattleTechWiki!

HELLO EVERYBODY I thought I should drop by and introduce my self before I start editing to many articles. Ive been into CBT for about 13 years and in that time ive never progressed much past "Wow big robots with very big guns!" but it keeps me out (or should that be in) of trouble so im happy ;-) Dmon 14:53, 12 February 2007 (CST)

Always glad to have another Editor. If basic copy editing is your 'thang,' check out the BattleMechs Project. They always have editing work they're asking for. Again, welcome! --Revanche (talk|contribs) 20:36, 12 February 2007 (CST)

Thanx Revenche. Basic copy editing isnt my "Thang" but im new to the wiki format so I am starting small.Dmon 08:27, 13 February 2007 (CST)

Medron Pryde

Hey all. I've only been here at the BattleTech Wiki a few minutes. :-) I was invited here by Revanche and I figured after some thought that I might as well come on over. Hehehe. I hope to be helpful here. I worked on wikis before so the basic idea behind them I do understand. I hope I can be helpful here. ;-) --Medron Pryde 06:37, 19 December 2006 (CST)

Hi there Medron! New blood is always welcome, glad to have you aboard. --Xoid 06:40, 19 December 2006 (CST)
Second that. Glad to have you here! Between Nic & Medron, its like a Sanford & Sons reunion (err...the joke being that they both have top-notch BT archives...which is like...oh, never mind.) --Revanche (admin) 23:13, 19 December 2006 (CST)

I'm relatively new to the BattleTech Wiki (been around a week or so), but I'm no newbie to MediaWiki; I saw a few templates that needed some attention, some minor things here and there and decided to step in, give a nudge in the right direction and give a lil' bit back to Sarna.net after using it so often over the years. I wasn't planning on sticking around, but when I saw the marvellous work that CJKeys was putting in, I changed my mind. --Xoid 05:21, 21 November 2006 (CST)

And we're dang glad you did. Welcome! --Revanche (admin) 09:04, 21 November 2006 (CST)

Jimmy the Tulip

Hi all. I don't think I'm the newest here either but I'm here as a Reader (to glean more BT info), an Editor (to help these guys who do all this hard work to make this the best BT info site ever) and as a Creator (for writing fiction, which is one of my loves). Hi to all who are here and all who have yet to arrive. --Jimmy the Tulip 15:09, 20 November 2006 (CST)

Revanche

Hello...while I'm not quite the newest person here, it still's good to introduce myself to the community. If you're posting here to say hello, post right above this post (or the otherwise top-most post if I'm not the top one) and say hi. Whether you're here to gather information (as a Reader), provide it (a Creator) or update (an Editor), we're very glad to have you here. Let's make BTW the best resource it can be for the BattleTech community. --Revanche (admin) 10:26, 19 November 2006 (CST)
