History
Beta Newt was one of Clan Steel Vipers training units, led by an experienced Star Colonel. The Newt Trinaries teach the newly graduated warriors to fight as a unit and act as "feeder" units for the front line Galaxies.[1]
In 3061 the Trinary was stationed on Antares.[2] By 3067 Beta Newt had been expanded to a Cluster and was stationed on Marshall along with the rest of Beta Galaxy.[3]
The final fate of the Beta Newt Cluster is not known, but they would not have survived the destruction of Beta Galaxy or that of Clan Steel Viper in 3075.[4]
