History

Carlos Marik was the son of former Captain-General Duncan Marik, who achieved power through the assassination of Janos Marik.[1]

That affected his career, and by 3067 he was a Captain in the 25th Marik Militia, and had been repeatedly passed over for further advancement.[1]

He was considering leaving the military for politics.[1]
