During the conquest of Kaifeng in 3058 the Dainwu carried six Thrush aerospace fighters, but not its full complement of thirty-six BattleMechs which were instead divided across the Dainwu and two Union-class vessels (one of them the Lao-tzu), as to not concentrate House Hiritsu's tactical flexibility.[1]
The Dainwu was also deployed during House Hiritsu's operations on Hustaing in 3060, where it apparently served as command ship.[2]
