History

The Essex-class Dark Claw was a Star League Defense Force WarShip that survived the Hegemony Campaign to liberate Terra from the forces of Stefan Amaris, and subsequently followed General Aleksandr Kerensky on the Exodus, falling under the control of Clan Smoke Jaguar.[1]

In 3058 the CSJ Dark Claw was assigned to Tau Galaxy in the Wayside V system.[2] It was commanded at the time by Star Captain Klark Chrisholm. [3] It was destroyed in combat with a Nova Cat Lola III-class destroyer in 3058.[4] The Nova Cat Lola III was the lead ship of the Mystic Naval Star and was also destroyed in this encounter.[5]

The Dark Claw was later recovered by the Draconis Combine during Operation BULLDOG and mothballed over Dieron.[6] The Dark Claw would subsequently be stolen by the Word of Blake[7] and destroyed during the Blakist attack on the Capellan Confederation shipyard at Necromo in 3072.[8]
