In order to reduce their vulnerability, Clan Blood Spirit gifted their Foster colonies to one of their few friends, Kindraa Smythe-Jewel of Clan Fire Mandrill. In 3062, three Clans controlled Foster: Coyote, Ice Hellion, and Fire Mandrill, each having enclaves of roughly the same size.[citation needed]
