Overview[edit]

Galax Launch Systems and Satellites (GLSS) was a manufacturing company most well known for their SEU-193D Starcomm range of satellites. As the company name suggested, GLSS had originally been located on Galax, but the Word of Blake attack during the Jihad destroyed GLSS' manufacturing facilities there.[2]

In contrast to many companies located on Galax, GLSS was able to relocate, opening production facilities on Delavan; the demand for new satellites to replace those destroyed by the Blakists was so high that production on Delavan was three times that of the original facilities on Galax, and by 3084 GLSS was actually prospering in comparison to its pre-Jihad position.[2]

GLSS had one subsidiary, Sorcerer Technologies, a former component supplier which it acquired after the Fourth Succession War. All military production was done in their name, accounting for forty percent of GLSS' profits by 3067.[1]
