Gunnison Castle Brian was a Star League Defense Force base constructed on Terra.[1]
History
The Gunnison Castle Brian was the site of the Com Guard 201st Division's last stand during Operation ODYSSEUS. Escaping the Word of Blake's surprise attack against their HQ at Salina, Kansas, the surviving elements of the division under Adept Edelle Kearny headed to the Gunnison facility unaware that Blakist computer-systems engineer Satoshi Fujishima had initiated a lockdown of all Com Guard and Terra Sec facilities that trapped the personnel inside. Pursued by the Blakist Shadow Lancers for days, Kearny and the 201st's belief they'd finally reached safety on March 2nd 3058 was shattered when discovered they could not enter, the now trapped Com Guard forces all but destroyed, signaling the end of the Com Guards' battle for North America. As of 3062 the Gunnison base was garrisoned by the Ninth Division of the Word of Blake Militia.[8]
