The Hesperus Militia (DSPF) was the militia that defended the Hesperus system (both Hesperus II and Hesperus III).

History[edit]

The militia has been always a last tier of defense, but after the FedCom Civil War, it was forced to take on a greater role on the planetary defense. Part of the planetary militia was reassigned to protect the vulnerable Doering Electronics Melrose Valley facilities.

Assigned to protext the protect Doering Electronics plant Melrose Valley when the Word of Blake forces invaded Hesperus II, they were no match for the advanced Sixteenth Division and were shattered by them.[1]

By 3079, the Militia of Hesperus II was augmented by elements of the militia from Hesperus III. Based out of the Melrose Valley on South Whitman, the militia contingent from Hesperus III is deployed on a rotating basis. The militia is deployed close to the Doering Electronics plant.[2]
