Hobbs IV - more commonly known simply as Hobbs - is the fourth planet in the system.[1]

Succession Wars[edit]

During the Succession Wars the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns used the caves on Hobbs as a giant warehouse for supplies and matériel, used to support units throughout the Capellan March. The native animals known as the Takooma viewed this as an intrusion into their habitat, and waged a guerrilla war against the human intruders.[1]

Geography[edit]

Hobbs is a dry world whose native lifeforms are confined to the vast underground cave systems. These caves have their own extensive ecosystem, with the apelike mammals known as the Takooma at the top of the ecological pyramid.[1]
