"One-Eyed" Jack Farrell was a Mercenary Commander employed by Jacob Bannson as a part of his Bannson's Raiders mercenary unit during the Dark Ages.

He was born on Sarna and ran away from home when he was only 14, stowing away on a cargo DropShip. He travelled abroad, from the Federated Suns to the Capellan Confederation and the Lyran Commonwealth. At first he worked as a simple cargo handler but slowly made his way up.
Between 3127 and 3131 he vanished, and when he reappeared within The Republic, it was as a member of Wyld's Jokers and piloting an assault-class Clan BattleMech.
Rumors say he lost his left eye in a fight with his supposed lover "Dagger" Di Jones, but that has not been confirmed. This did not impair his battlefield performance but increased his ferocity in combat.[1]
He lost his Mech in Jacob Bannson's attempt to tear the Raiders away from the House Liao, but he reappeared on the battlefield piloting a brand-new Atlas III. OP5 intelligence pointed on him either being on Bannon's good side or having his own way to procure assault 'Mechs.[2]
Sometime later he created and lead his own unit, Cyclops Company.[3]

BattleMechs[edit]
Jack was known to pilot a Jupiter he named "Godfist"[1] and an Atlas III called "Hammerfall" that had special equipment installed to compensate for Jack's disfigurement, allowing him to function as well as any MechWarrior, and better than most, in its cockpit.[2]
