During the years of the Star League, SLDF troops stationed on Stratford would routinely visit/garrison the Kirbyville system as needed.[33]

The Dark Age

In 3144 the Raven Alliance attacked and conquered Kirbyville and the nearby world of Sterlington using the forces of the Clan Snow Raven Beta Galaxy.[34] Beta Galaxy began the conquest of Kirbyville by deploying NL-45 Gunboats to seize or neutralize the manned satellites in orbit above Kirbyville, either by boarding the satellites with marines or firing on them directly. After the Raven Alliance ships entered orbit the Fifth Raven Stoop began to deploy planetside; at which point the local garrison, the Third Periphery Guard, then launched all of their AeroSpace Fighters with orders to engage the deploying Raven DropShips.[35]
