Description

Designed for the Clan Ghost Bear, the Kodiak II is an Assault Class BattleMech which was first produced during the last decade of 31st Century. The 'Mech was engineer so it could serve as a Command 'Mech, while it was fitted out with heavy arsenal of missiles and large array of energy weaponry, giving it the ability serve forefront any given battle. The design is based on the forth variant of the original Kodiak.

The Kodak II would become a favorite design within the Clan Ghost Bear's touman, being produced on Alshain at the Alshain Weapons' factory. One of the Kodiak II's noted actions during a border skirmish on the world of Jabuka, where 'Mech noted features would during the course of the battle. Where elements of Clan Jade Falcon's 53rd Battle Cluster tangled with 2nd Bear Regulars commanded by Star Colonel Anton Hall. Star Colonel Hall corridinated his Cluster's actions from the cockpit of a Kodiak II. The 'Mech would show its perseverance in face of 53rd's artillery bombardment of Star Colonel's surviving units and be the deciding element which would win the battle for the Ghost Bears.[3]

Variants

  • Kodiak II 2

The second variant of the Kodiak II is known for its resilience as well as its accurate weaponry. Introduced in the early 32nd Century, the Kodiak II 2 utilizes number of advanced technologies which includes three torso mounted HarJel III Self-Repair Systems. Aside from inclusion of the new repair system, the version of the Kodiak II differs only slightly from the original. While retaining most of 'Mech weaponry and the Targeting Computer, the 'Mech's long-range weaponry are swapped out for pair of Streak LRM-20 launchers, while the 10-tubed launcher is dropped. Notes

The Kodiak II's visual likeness was first created by Wizkids' MechWarrior Dark Age Collectable Miniatures game as a part of its Counter Assault expansion set. When it first appeared, it was originally listed as the Kodiak. The figure (differs from the original BattleTech version) was used for for the game's unique figures. Kodiak II was later adapted by Catalyst Game Labs and redefined in the tabletop game once the company advanced the franchise's timeline to 3145.
