Planetary Info
Lesnovo is part of the Rim Commonality, a small power block in the Free Worlds League. Located near the Periphery the world was raided several times by both pirates and the Marian Hegemony in the early 31st century. This led to a lot of dissatisfaction with Janos Marik and the Federal government.[1]
The core of the dissatisfaction came from the fact that aside from it's position, Lesnovo has nothing of importance. It's food production was barely able to keep its own population fed, so when it was stolen by pirates, the population suffered. Though some citizens agitated for replacement of the Mariks by House Humphreys, nothing came of this.[1]
During and after the Jihad, Lesnovo was the site of the only BattleMech manufacturing in the Rim Commonality - although given the lack of native military manufacturing, the 'Mechs produced were all RetroTech 'Mechs.[16]
