Malerie Faulkner was descendant of members of Clan Jade Falcon's touman, mercenary and later, officer of the AFFS.

Malerie Faulkner was a direct descendant of one or two Clans warriors, of Folkner (Bloodname), implied they were from Clan Jade Falcon. In an unknown date, she buyed an OmniMech and became mercenary, joining the unit Tally's Talons. By 3147, she had reached the rank of Captain and was the XO of Major Tallula Zheng, CO of the unit. At the 19 September, she assisted to the negotiations of the contract renewal between Zheng and First Prince Julian Davion, feeling herself impressed by him.[1]
The 4 December, along with the rest of the Talons, Malerie made a combat drop upon New Syrtis, as part of Operation CERBERUS. Once on the ground, Zheng blamed Julian Davion by the Talon's damages, accusing him of using the unit as bait. That disturbed Malerie, but didn't believe it. A day later, Tallula continued blaming the Davions, saying they were using their unit, and other mercenary units, as cannon fodder.
